Dr. Judy Chau is a Bay Area native and a graduate from UC San Diego with a degree in Human Biology and Communications. She then attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry where she was inducted into the Tau Kappa Omega honor society for scholastic excellence and character. She has worked in private practice for more than 10 years. Dr. Chau is continuously expanding her range of services in order to serve her patients more effectively.
She routinely takes advanced post graduate classes and residencies including the Endodontic Continuum at UCLA, Orthodontics at the Center for Occlusal Studies, and the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Chau provides services in all aspects of general dentistry as well as root canals, complicated extractions, bone grafting, implant placement and restoration, sleep apnea appliances, traditional orthodontic treatment and Invisalign, soft tissue laser surgery, aesthetic dentistry, and full mouth reconstruction.
In tandem with her skills and experience, Dr. Chau has an exceptionally empathetic and compassionate bedside manner. Both children and adults feel at ease because of how she can explain scary sounding, complicated procedures with easy to understand analogies. Her passion and cheerfulness relaxes patients. She believes in treating not just the teeth but the patient as a whole. Dr Chau can speak Vietnamese and elementary Spanish as well. She and her husband have two beautiful children and a rescue pitbull. Outside of work, Dr. Chau plays the piano and guitar, is an experienced yogi, and enjoys hiking.
